I have a question about the recording arts?
It sounds like something I would be interested in doing when I get older but I have no clue about making or working with music and etc. Is there anything I should try out first to see if I really want to go into the recording arts? And if I do happen to like that would that knowledge help me to get into a recording arts school better? I know I probably sound like an idiot right now but any information would be nice.

Have any music programs on your computer? Or a recorder and microphone? Just experiment with those and figure out how to use them. That would be a good start. Other than that, being a musician really helps, too, both in doing it and getting into a recording arts school. It also helps you understand and relate to the performers and “speak their language.”
It’s not as lucrative or as high-paying as you may think, however, and dealing with many people in the music industry can be awful. But it can be a great deal of fun, especially when you can record yourself.
