Need help finding coupons in Portland Oregon?
I am looking for coupons in Portland Oregon. I’m going to Portland zoo, the Japanese garden, world forestry center, Lan Su chinese garden and Portland art museum. Oh and I’ll be taking Amtrak to Portland Dose anyone know if there are coupons out there for any of these places? This will be my first time going to Portland so if anyone knows of other places I need to see please let me know thank you. On one more know I’ll be down there on June 8th 2010 to June 12th 2010 and I’m 25 so if there are any bar I any to know about. thank you again.

The local Chinook Book is a book of coupons that has deals on most of these places. It’s geared toward residents who’ll use the coupon book all year long, so it might not be worth it for you because you buy the book. You can probably get one for at New Seasons markets in Portland or other places that sell it at a discount this late in the year. If you use those coupons, plus others for food, etc. you’ll still save money overall.

Often times, like for amtrak, you can see what kind of specials they have going or consult a travel agent who might be able to get you a good deal. For the other stuff, you might consider purchasing the Entertainment book for Portland. This is a coupon book that generally costs about -25. You can purchase it online or at any bookstore like Barnes and Noble (if they carry it). My husband and I purchased ours online for both Portland and Hawaii. As far as bars, well, there a quite a bit downtown, but I highly suggest going with a friend as downtown can get quite sketchy at night. More on the east side of town, there is the Refectory and the Copper Penny. If you are staying at a hotel, sometimes at certain restaurants, like Denny’s, you can find coupons for hotels/motels or check online at expedia.com, hotwire.com, priceline.com, etc. Good luck.

Travel Portland offers a coupon book with discounts on many of those attractions you mentioned above. However you’ll need to book a hotel room to receive that discount. If you are planning on booking a hotel while you are in Portland, I would recommend looking at their site.

Tuesdays zoo admission is only , so if you want to go to the Zoo I would try and do that on Tuesday – that is the best discount you’ll find.
