i am going to see RENT what should i wear?
so i pretty much already have what i am planning on wearing. i have some nice grey skinny slacks, white dress shirt, black peacoat, a grey scarf and some dress shoes. is this too dressy. i am a theater major in school and this is my first time seeing a big time production so you can imagine i am mega ultra super excited. the show is at 8pm at the orange county performing arts center. muchas gracis ;DD

your outfit sounds perfect. the main thing is to wear something that won’t be uncomfortable while you’re sitting for so long.

dress up man, it’s theatre, the one place besides weddings and proms and bernie madoff parties where you can get away with wearing even a tux.
hell, wear a tux if you have one.
do you have a date? tell her to wear a gown.
take her to eat in a nice restaurant. see the play. go for a walk in a park. give her your coat. do it till the sun comes up.

That sounds like a pretty smart outfit – if it makes you feel good in yourself then go for it. You are going to see Rent, not Grand Opera! It is a funky show so you don’t have to dress up like a penguin, but if you look smart it will make it an occasion! Have a great evening!
