Can you install games on the computers at college?
Im attending the new england institute of art this fall. I wont be bringing my own computer, and was wondering if you think they would care if i installed a game on their computers in the library or something(world of warcraft) =).

maybe.. depends if the IT department has it blocked. i have in the past and i have been blocked by others as well. plus you need to check it might be illegal to mess with their computers.

First question you should ask yourself is: Is it my computer?
I’m no trying to be glib here, I’m just trying to point out some perspective and that if it doesn’t belong to you then you can only use it with permission and only how they want you to use it. You can certainly ask. But I wouldn’t want you to get in trouble if you did install games on the sly.
Always be respectful of other people’s and organizations property and always Ask before you Do.
For all you know they probably have computers specifically set up for that.
College can surprise you when you have a lot of like-minded people on the same campus.

Only admins will be able to install software on the machines, and for good reason.
So, in short, no.
Students really need their own computers these days. Consider getting a laptop.
