I completed my "self challenge" of taking photos at the Pappajohn Sculpture Park. My self-imposed rules were simple: (1) only the sculpture and the sky could be in the photo; (2) the photos posted to Flickr would not be cropped; and (3) no processing of any sort would be done to the photo. Everything in this series is straight out of the camera.

This photo was probably the hardest to meet my criteria, because the sculpture consists of a metal disk that is 7 feet in diamater laying on the ground and this neck-type thing sticking up. It’s also my least favorite scupture in the park, so this is about as good as I’m going to get with this particular piece of art.

On my way home this afternoon, the sky was almost perfectly blue. So, I stopped at the Pappajohn Sculpture Park. I have several photos from there on Flickr; the place is a gift that keeps on giving, especially if you have a camera.
