this isnt the exact format but here is just a little preview of what it looks like do you think that its a possibility?? also i had the names of people i have training with (like important casting directors screne writers and actors that ive taked classes from) but there were so many people that it made it look very cluttered should i just keep off the people i have worked with at certain acting institutes??

thanks

If you’re going to shave anything off to avoid clutter, I’d leave off the junior high and elementary school theater productions. School productions prior to college don’t amount to much, and you have enough other experience to show that you’re not totally green.

It’s good to include who you specifically studied with at the various places you trained, as many of them have a fluxuating staff and having somebody specific’s name on your resume may open some doors for you. For example, a casting director may know and respect someone you studied with, but not know that they were teaching at that place at the time. Don’t go overboard and list everybody who was on the staff at the time, though; just list one or two people that you worked with primarily, preferably someone who would remember you if they were asked about you by someone else.

And instead of simply listing your vocal range as “alto,” it’s a good idea to include your specific range (for example, I list mine as F2-A5).

And don’t feel like you absolutely need to be in a “top” agency to have a solid career. Some people, especially young performers, thrive in boutique-style agencies, where they have a more personal relationship with their representation and they don’t have to compete with the agency’s other clients for auditions. But on the other hand, some people tend to put out more effort when they need to in a competitive atmosphere. Just some food for thought.
