About the artist
Maryse Casol (born December 7, 1957) is a French artist and central figure in the Neo-Fauvism movement. Renowned for her vibrant colours, exotic landscapes and blazing still lives, Casol uses painting to communicate the thoughts of famous philosophers such as Aristotle, Epictetus, Maimonides, and Spinoza. After numerous journeys across the seven seas, Casol now lives in the south of France where she focuses on creating warmth, purity and power.
