Whats the best degree for a job in digital art?
I started my AS levels in september (Maths, further maths, physics and art) and I’ve known for a while I want to go into some sort of digital art and design. So, would it be better, to actually have a maths degree and a art Portfolio, rather than an art and design degree? Any advice?

Are gaming desktop good for digital art too?
I’m no good in finding good computers for max performance but I do need a new computer with the ability to hold up with my constant animations, and digital arts. I’ve set my eyes on this model:
Digital Storm Desktop 290291
but I’m not sure if I really need something this big. (nor am I sure dual screens work on them.)
If anyone could answer this or offer simple advice to the type of computer I should get to support animations (to 3-d also) and digital art.

A friend asked me to draw a peace sign to give as a gift. I had such fun drawing it, that I ended up with three. The first on the left was drawn in Corel Painter 9. The other two were drawn in Xara Xtreme using bit map fills that I had already created in Painter 9.

How do I go about writing an essay on digital art?
The essay is in relation to freedom. I chose to look at digital art.

I was thinking I’d start with an introduction of what digital art is, going on to the history of digital art in the 50s/60s – perhaps then skip upto the 90s and use modern ‘art’/artists.
Through this essay I will write about Photoshop and other technology, while relating everything to freedom.

Sorry, I’m panicking. I don’t mean to put this question forward as a “do it for me” proposal, but does my process sound okay?

Whats the difference between Digital Art and Illustration?
Ok, so say i had to categories different types of art would i have 2 different categories one for illustration and one for digital art, or just have one category for illustration… im not entirely sure what separates digital art and illustration…

My current thoughts are illustration contains drawn elements, and digital art contains effects and photos, but i hear a lot of people call those illustrations.
