Is it possible to afford art schools?
I really would like to go into character design and or illustration. But the price of decent art colleges is huge! Can I possibly pay off the debts I would most undoubtedly incur at one of these colleges and pay it back with a job in this field? I’m looking at Cal Arts, Cornish, and PNCA. Also if anyone has attended these colleges, how are they? Also, being from a rural town I don’t know if I could commit to living in a city the rest of my days. Do you think its realistic for me to somehow establish myself and work later from a more remote location?
I’m visiting Seattle this month. What is the hotel that is best priced and in the safest area?
I’m visiting cornish college of the arts by denny way/denny park.
Please give prices/or your personal experience there at the hotel.

How can I go to a college I cannot afford?
Cornish College of the Arts. Seattle, Washington. $ 27,400 a year.
I want to major in Theater – Original Works or Music – Composition.
Have you ever felt like your life is going no where? – Well, feel me because I do right now. With my desire to get out of my house… and ambition to conquer Seattle, I can think of little else I would enjoy more than to learn what I am so intensely interested in… in a place I so intensely love.
Please send me ideas. Sincere help is the best. Thank you already for the life-changing advice that is on the way.
Where to get ,000 for college?
I need this money to go to school at Cornish College of the Arts, here’s my road blocks:
Things that come into play with this problem:
- I’m not 18 so I can’t take out a loan.
- My parents went through bankruptcy, so they can’t co-sign
- No one else in my family will co-sign for me.
- I’ve already factored in my Federal Aid and Financial aid from my school
- I get paid $ 6 an hour as a cashier, and the money I will make is already factored in.
- I’m applying for every eligible scholarship, but don’t seem to be winning anything at all.
- My parent’s won’t help me, they simply can’t.
- I live in a very small town, and no other store or place of employment is hiring.
- I do not have a car, let alone a license, to be able to drive to another job in another town.
- The closest Community College is an hour away. I would be wasting money finding a new place to live.
I’m stuck. This has been my goal for years and stupid, stupid money is the only thing in my way.
HEY, can you guys not READ? I’ve BEEN APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS.
What University/College Would Be Best for Me?
I’m beginning to look into colleges early simply for preparation, and because I’m somewhat impatient. I can’t WAIT! (: I really would like to go to a University. Somewhere where I can meet a wide range of amazing people and have fantastic life experiences.
Some of “the facts” are:
I am looking into a musical theatre major.
By the time I graduate, I will have 4 years of Spanish.
I LOVE music.
I LOVE dance.
I LOVE choir.
I am very interested in the environment.
I am extremely outgoing.
I really enjoy learning.
I hate math.
I love pretty much all Science and English classes.
I find most History classes interesting.
If it matters, I adore Ireland.
I am Catholic, but I don’t have to go to a Catholic school.
Going to be on newspaper for journalism and photography.
I love volunteering and helping out.
What colleges should I CONSIDER?
I have looked into:
Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama, Western Michigan University Theatre Department, University of North Carolina School of Arts, University of Oklahoma, Syracuse University, Julliard, Cornish College of the Arts, De Paul University, University of Notre Dame, University of Central Florida, University of Michigan (School of Music, Theatre & Dance), Ticsh School of the Arts at New York University, The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (London, England)
And so on… sorry that this was so long. Any suggestions?
