Any ideas for acting out a movie in 10 minutes?
I have a midtern for my intro to acting class, we have to act out a movie in ten minutes. The thing is me and my group are totally stumpted. Can anyone think of a movie that would be easy to act with two girls and two guys? Girls can play boys and vice versa. We were thinking a comedy or action. Preferably something not too difficult to understand. Nothing lame, something recent. We also don’t want to do something that’s already been done. Such as zoolander, wedding crashers, 40 virgin, those are just some of the past. My group is desperate, and if anyone can think of anything it would be greatly appreciated.

"This act intended to abolish slavery in the mines and salt works, but it provided for the working off of existing indentures, and mine owners were able to manipulate the indebtedness of the colliers. Many miners remained in (or returned to) slavery.

This is a copy of the Act of Parliament of 1775 which regarded the slavery of colliers, coal-bearers and salters. Title reads, ‘AN ACT FOR ALTERING, EXPLAINING AND AMENDING SEVERAL ACRS OF PARLIAMENT OF SCOTLAND, RESPECTING COLLIERS, COAL-BEARERS AND SALTERS’.

From the early years of the seventeenth century the law in Scotland had treated miners and their families as property belonging to the mine owner, with no right to leave or to refuse to be sold on with the pit. Many sold themselves to the mine owners to escape the worse poverty of unemployment.

Is there a way to start acting without acting in school? Im 19 and never got the chance or had the option to act in school but ive Always wanted to act either on stage or in movies im not talking about huge hollywood movies i know that’s super hard to get into. Im talking about starting small getting some experience. Like how do you get into plays or get into an audition without going through school?

SCENE-oh whatevah. I cannot begin to describe how totally surreal it was to turn around and realise that the giraffes were watching the leopard eat, *and* watching us watch the leopard. They are curious, silly and utterly mad creatures.

How do I start an acting career when I’m still in High School?
I’m a seventeen year old high school student and I am extremely interested in becoming an actress. I took an Acting Workshop class at my school two years ago and I got a 90% A and the teacher said I have “Stage Precense”. I’ve been interested in Acting as a career since I was five or six years old.

So, my question is this: What should I do to pursue a career in acting? I live on Long Island (close to NYC). Should I print up a resume now and take headshots after February (when I get my braces off) and then go on auditions over the summer?

My aunt says I should go to college, which I want to, but I want to make sure I’ve exhausted every effort to become an actress first. So should I take a year off to pursue acting and then go to college?
