@RelevantOne True true
@doliveij I’m a fan of your vidz but cmon “midget black belt”.. Is this how you feel about the shorter fighters in the lighter divisions. Flyweights are gonna have a harder chance earning people’s respect. I hate how everyone doesnt give enough credit to to the smaller fighters especially in this sport
Diaz vs GSP in the ring – PRIDE rules? Talk to me dawg, who do you like then?
@NightManiacsInc I’m not arguing the game plan for Pettis, I’m saying that it’s going to be his game plan going forward. I realize he was never a striker.
turd
Pettis had swept guida but was unable to do anything with it, serious takedown defense is a must for this kid but to me he is the future of the ufc
@RelevantOne
thats stupid
he went into that fight with a specific gameplan for anthony pettis, who is a MUCH better striker, im sure he’ll change his game plan for different fighters
& btw guida has never really been a striker
@602philly I’d say get better take-down defense. Sweeping is almost impossible when the guy on top takes no chances.
@NightManiacsInc Yup he won, but he was a boring fighter. He’s never going to be a great striker, his bouncy frenetic style won’t let that happen, so logically if he wants to win (which appears to be what’s important to him now.) which I don’t blame him for, he is going to have to be the kind of fighter we just saw. So yeah, I’d say he’s going to be a boring fighter from now going forward.
If a guy like clay guida humps u for 3 rounds tough shit learn how to sweep get back up reverse anything .
guida dident do nothing besides lay on him no strikes or submissions just laying on him who wants to see that crap? fergson’s ko was sick!
@doliveij
Gsp would dominated Zaromskis on the feet.
@doliveij Hmmm…..Did you see GSP totally outstrike Alves at UFC 100? And Alves is pretty good on the feet. Thing is, if it was a straight out kickboxing contest, Id agree. But IT IS NOT. Its an MMA bout so when GSP is standing, his opponent is always worried about the takedown. That changes things is the standup big time. Daley for example couldn’t settle and commit to punches when fighting Kos. Same with Alves vs GSP. Same with Diaz vs GSP. Should show Georges a wee bit more respect imo.
@doliveij I’m just jumping in to say that GSP is the only fighter that landed a punch in the Hardy fight. He tagged him a couple times and once really hard. Hardy didn’t do a thing in that fight. Just saying. GSP I would say has the superior striking when comparing him t Diaz, but Diaz has the one shot power advantage it seems. GSP’s style is a bit of a defensive/offensive hybrid where he’ll throw a punch, but not aggressivly. That’s why he isn’t getting the knockout on the feet imo.
Lmao! Quick review of the final fight…
@doliveij I think u either become a gsp hater or a big ass nick diaz fan. Just because GSP would not stand with them, they are better striker than him?, U know better doliveij. Like diaz completely destroy them on the feet.
He caught lawler,but he wasn’t getting outclass. Cyborg was out-striking him until he took him down. Daley drops him and Noons beat he ass standing up and the second time the fight went to decision.
It’s pretty easy to say gsp lost to a midget when he just got caught.
Please check out my fights on my channel people . I am a English Muscian who fights MMA , plays rugby and basketball for fun . Semi pro At MMA
Hate what fighters like Guida bring to the table. If your a fighter in the UFC, the top MMA organization, why does your striking continue to look gross. This guy has been a free card fighter/undercard fighter for years for a reason. Get some damn striking.
Maldonado really impressed me, He gained a fan. Obviously training with the Nogueira’s has improved his BJJ alot, His sweeps looked really good albeit Kingsbury isn’t a better grappler but he is a much bigger guy to Fabio, And of course his boxing looked fantastic too, Viscious body shot. One to look out for in the future.
Greg Jackson is taking the fun out of MMA. Guida used to be exciting but now he joined his camp (And you see what happened). Next thing we know Jon Jones will lay on top of his opponent for 5 rounds.
There needs to be a change, probably in the judgins system, but I’m not sure what change.
Its ok because anytime clay guida fights anyone who stops his takedowns will destroy guida ala diego sanchez
I am begingin to feel your pain regarding “wrestling-for-control” dominance. Particularly because it’s effectiveness in a fight is artificially enhanced due to the unified rules and to a certain extent the judging criteria. Also it seems to be the specialty of a particularly high profile camp. Which is a damn shame, because long term, regardless of keeping the belt, I think it hurts GSPs evolution as a Mixed Martial Artist and therefore his overall legacy.
You dont like george roop much do you?
well, guess I didn’t miss much. I was looking forward to watching it but things came up =/
@cmcgrath10
In a stand up battle, GSP would be 0-5 against Lawler, Daley, Cyborg, Noons, Zaromskis.
In a stand up battle, he would get grossly outboxed by Diaz.
There is a reason why GSP WILL NOT STAND with guys who aren’t Koscheck or Shields. There is a reason GSP didn’t land one punch on the feet against Hardy. There is a reason GSP got KO’d by a midget black belt. There is a reason he will NOT stand with Diaz.
And it’s not because he believes his striking is better than Diaz’s.
@R3dN3cK810 I was joking both times…. but you assuming I think everything is racist… well, that’s racist man…
@shawn198484 I don’t wanna be a dick, but shame on you, it went to decision and you proved how idiotic you are xD ROOKIE!!!
@cremaster0 yea cause everything to yyou is racist i guess
@R3dN3cK810 Beginning a sentence without capitalizing? That’s racist man…
great analyis….Carwin is over his head here..JDS 1st rd KO..and he goes on to LOSE to Cain in October.
U TALK TOO MUCH…JUST GO TO THE POINT
Norwegian Einemo will win!
You forgot to mention that einemo won over a Gracie in Bjj.
@905justin
Well he lost to a roided up shark and BJ Penn in his prime in those to fights…………..
