Liberal Arts Education in the United States Oct 19

A visit to Swarthmore College outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, prompts college consultant and counselor to reflect on the value of a liberal arts education. A liberal arts college is very different from a university, that is made up of various schools or colleges, such as a medical school, a business school, a music school, a nursing school–to name a few. A liberal arts college is focused entirely on an undergraduate education. Students from China who are seeking assistance in deciding which college to attend–instead of doing their applications DIY–should consider a liberal arts college. It is a unique model of education that provides many opportunities for undergraduates to engage in research and develop relationships with their professors and peers.

Watson was artistic from the start
Watson was lucky again to have a great art teacher, Mrs. Monroe, who encouraged her to pursue art in college as well as a career, which she did. After high school, she attended Pratt Institute, an art school in Brooklyn, NY, for a year and a half.
